Vintage Fox Theatre San Francisco Prop and Drop Room framed KeysThese are the keys to the Prop Room and the Drop Room of The Fox Theatre which was located on Market Street in San Francisco. It was the largest movie palace in San Francisco from its opening in 1929 until its demolition in 1963. Besides featuring Fox distributed movies, the Theatre also featured elaborate live stage shows.The last event at the San Francisco Fox Theatre before its demolition was an elaborate Farewell stage show, which was held on February 16, 1963. The Theatre was demolished the very next month.I was fortunate enough to run across these framed keys at an estate sale I attended in the Los Angeles, CA area last year. The estate belonged to a collector. The frame still has the Stars Antique Market tag attached from when the collector bought it. It was framed by "The Great Frame Up" company (see picture #6).Approx.
