Vintage Framed Johnstown PA. American Legion Hat Device

Description: 's a really neat item from Johnstown Pa.! This large hat device is from the American Legion Post in this former steel town, most famous for the flood of 1889. Device is metal and has Johnstown, PA spelled out and above that is the eagle of the the Federal Seal above which more metal fans out in a starburst like shape with the American Legion Seal in the middle. Mounted to create a presentation plaque on a red cloth background which is framed in a simple wood frame with glass front. No other marks or other identifying characteristics. Interesting item if your into Veterans Group memorabilia or like to collect keepsakes from Johnstown.

Dimensions: Frame measures 7.25" wide, 9.25" tall and 1.25" deep.

Condition: Item is in nice condition! No chips, breaks or cracks to the wood or glass. Metal emblem seems securely attached. The glass is slightly smaller than the frame and has wiggle room but won't fall out.
