Vintage frames for 1951-1955 California License Plates!

This beautiful pair of frames dates from 1951-1955, if anyone recalls the days San Francisco was considered a conservative town! (Hard to believe but true!) These frames fit oversize 1951-1955 California plates, and can possibly also be used on 1940, 1941, and 1947 (at least, hole pattern is the same). Frames are straight and undamaged. The chrome and paint is original. They are weatd, but still have a surprising amount of shine. I believe you'll agree they look better than the photos! The weathering is uniform and they present themselves very well. I have been running them on my turquoise '55 Ford for about two years now and they look really, really nice. I took the car up to San Francisco and over the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausaulito for the 4th of July. Really turned a lot of heads! Another nice thing about just plain City frames, as opposed to Dealer frames, is you can put them on any make. T seem to be a lot of dealer frames for vintage Chrysler and Studebaker, but almost none for Chevrolet and Ford of this era. And how often do you see vintage frames this straight and nice?? (Use the Enlarge option for Supersize details.) And a PAIR no less!!! Well as I say, I have been running them about 2 years and now ready to pass them on to someone else, someone I have no doubt will be very happy to have them.
