It measures 13 inches long, with a leather case, the case appears to have had the actual flap on the top removed, but it still is sturdy and holds the slide rule just fine. All of the information listed on the Slide Rule is listed below: Frederick Post Co. No. 1491Sun Hemmi Japan, POSTHemmi JapanL, A, DF, CF, CIF, CI, C, D, LL3, LL2, LL1 are the scales listed on the end of the slide rule. T appears to be no damage to the unit, it slides and moves back and forth just fine, a really nice vintage drafting and engineering tool.
