VINTAGE FRENCH CARVED BRIAR PIPE - "SMOKAROL" - MARKED STERLING - CASED.This is a carved Briar pipe measuring approx 5 inches in length with a 1 inch diameter bowl. .It is carved and turned in a straight level design.There is a metal band which is stamped "STERLING" and "WDC" in a triangle motif. .The pipe is embossed "SMOKAROL GENUINE FRENCH BRIAR PAT JUN 29-AUG 10. 1915" .The pipe comes in its original shaped Chamoix leather case and the lot is an impressive and interesting example which is still useable if so desired.The Briar wood is attractively marked with the burrs and grain producing a pleasing pattern.
