~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~
This textile is a wonderful, French linen grain sack that dates 1940~*~ A Gorgeous Vintage French textile! ~*~ Double sided, with 2 printed panels ! ~*~ ~ this charming textile is a Vintage French linen grain sack that dates 1940 ~ this grain sack was used to transport grain from the French farm to the mill and comes from Chatellerault, a town in the Vienne department, in the Poitou-Charentes region of France. This textile is double printed, the outside front panel has the wonderful printing and the back of the inside panel is also printed in the same design~ so, if opened out, you would have 2 panels to work with! ~these textile make the most wonderfully decorative pillows, upholstery, cafe curtains. They are ideal for framing, upholstery projects, make beautiful bolster pillows for sofa or bed, body pillows, and are stunning under glass top tables! ~ Once washed and dried, the texture is wonderfully soft~ they are made using a very finely woven linen, using wonderful French flax and cotton mix. The fabric was machine woven and has a beautiful, warm nutty brown tone. Woven into the sack are 2 sets of double , dark indigo blue stripes ~ The printing is in black. This sack was rinsed of storage dirt in France, and line dried. These sacks can be washed in a washing machine on gentle, with a bit of Oxyclean, normal detergent and then I like to use a fabric softener in the final rinse. I have washed many of these textiles and then tumbled dry. They become very soft and lovely to touch!~ ~ wonderfully easy to maintain. If machine washed continuously, the printing will fade over time so perhaps best hand wash if planning to launder regularly. Because these sacks were used and are 70 years old, each of these sacks has some small imperfections. I believe this adds to the charm of any vintage or antique textile. The sack you will receive is the exact sack that is photographed in the listing ~*~ The printing often shows through to the back of the panel, which is important to take into consideration if both the front and the back of any panel will be showing for your project ~*~ Your textile may have a very small hole, faded mark etc. and I will do my very best to describe the exact condition of each sack below in the condition section, however if the exact condition is important to your purchase , please email me and I will, very happily , supply any further details necessary. ~*~ ( sack M10) This sack measures approximately 21 inches wide by 4 feet long ~ the printed area measures approx. 22 inches tall by 17 inches wide. When washed and dried in the dryer, that is a little bit of shrinkage , usually about an inch in the width of the sack ~ CONDITION : This sack has been rinsed and line dried in France. This sack is in lovely condition! ~ just beautiful! ~. ~ ~~*~You will never have to pay any Customs or Duty charges on my textiles posted to an address within the United States, as I have already imported all of my European textiles and have paid any fees for you~*~ My shipping is always fast, so you can expect your purchase to arrive between 1-3 days after payment within the USA~*~ ~*~Please see my other items for more textile treasures~*~ ~*~For weekly updates, please add me to your favorites list !~* ~*~Important information~*~ 100% Customer satisfaction is extremely important to me!
