This buy it now is for this WONDERFUL Vintage French Grain Sack, dating c 1930~*~ This amazingly wonderful sack is one of the treasures I found on my last European trip! I have never seen one like this sack and it is superb! This sack would make the most WONDERFUL decorative pillow, such amazing French Country Flair! ~*~ The sack reads " Roux Georges ~La Chapelle " This would have been the farmers name and the Farm~ it is just lovely! The stripes are a beautiful red and blue and the textile is made from a wonderful natural hemp warp and a natural cotton weft~ the writing is a black stamp on the front~*~ It would be CHARMING as a bolster pillow, sofa pillow, area rug, you name it! ~ it is just So lovely~*~* ~*~ ( I do have another of these wonderful sacks the same, this will be offered to the highest bidder should they wish to purchase) This lovely sack measures 4.79 feet by 20.8 inches wide ( of course it is twice as long as it is double sided) (146cm by 53cm ) T is some light dirt on this sack that will wash ( I can only recommend dry cleaning as I am unsure about the black writing fading) This sack is perfect for someone looking for a rustic touch of beauty! It is one long piece of hessian hand stitched together at each side with heavy natural thread~ ~*~~This sack is in original condition with visible dirt and has been stored for many years in an old mill~ so the hessian has a slightly musty smell.
