Vintage French GRAS M1874 Bayonet dated 1878

This is a very nice old bayonet that I recently bought at an estate auction. I believe this is a French Model 1874 Gras Bayonet so if I'm wrong just email. The bayonet is 25 1/2" long with a 20 1/2" blade that is in nice shape but t is staining and pitting. The spine of the bayonet is marked Usine de Steyr 1878 (I think this is what it says???). The bayonet's handguard is marked with a "D" under a crown inside a circle, an "M" in a circle, "T" in a circle and the numbers Q 56443 . The backstrap is marked with D 1 B 9 A and the bottom strap is marked OM over a D . The handle is in good shape and is made of wood with a brass pommel but t are a few small chips and some dents in the wood. The release button seems to function correctly. T is NO scabbard for the bayonet. I prefer PAYPAL but will accept cashier's check or money order. Item to be shipped U.S. Mail. REFUNDS--Every effort is made to describe items accurately. Items broken in transit by the USPS will be replaced or refunded only if insurance is purchased. Cost of insurance is $1.65 or more (depending on the amount of coverage). Most of my items are of a vintage age and could have minor flaws that would have been normal in that era of manufacturing. If item is in "perfect" condition "still in box" these things will be noted as such. All items are packaged in quality boxes using cushioned paper and bubblewrap or in bubble envelopes if size warrants. Refunds will be given if item has been grossly misrepresented. This should be conveyed to me when item is received. If item is returned in original box with all packing materials refund will be given to include shipping.
