I have been saving this handretted, handwoven , homespun hemp sack for awhile. I love it , its texture is super nubby but worn soft. Soft enough to put next to your face. Its a warm natural wheat flour color and the red and blue stripes are exactly like primary red and primary blue. I have the perfect old red white and blue ticking for the inner pillow. I can't say enough good things about this particular sack and the ticking I picked for inner pillow. It has original hemp rope ties which is why the whole picture comes together to remind me of boats and the beach. This is an easy care pillow .. you can wash the outer pillow in hot water and throw it in the dryer. The inner pillow also has a down feather insert inside of that. Nice big size~~15" x 21" All the materials have been washed prior to assembling. This is the first pillow I have made from this sack. I can get three pillows per sack usually. This was the end of the sack and as an interesting note t are 2 handsewn button holes at the corner originally meant for tying the sack closed which add a charming old World touch.
