~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ This textile is a charming Vintage hessian/jute grain sack from France ~ These sacks are wonderful for decorative pillows, light upholstery, framing and many other fun uses! Also look great as a wall decoration~*~ The hessian on this sack is a medium open weave and the tone is a dark honey tone. This sack has a wonderful outline of France on the front in a lovely blue tone! the back has a faded wheat wheat design! this sack is wonderful for framing etc , I've never seen this design before! There are a number of wonderful hand stitched darns on this sack that would make wonderful features! This sack is in as found, unwashed condition with storage dirt. This sack has a heavy twine like smell that will dissipate if dry cleaned, however I don't recommend that this textile be used for bedding etc because of the smell. A lovely primitive textile, ideal for rustic projects only !!
