This amazing quilt has 55 hand written signatures on it, each one in the center of a Christian Cross block. Two of the names also have locations written after them...one is Hyde Park PA, and one I can't read. I've attached a photo of both of those blocks, perhaps someone will recognize the name of the second town. Dimensions are approximately 95" x 87". T are a total of 110 blocks. The Christian Cross blocks appear to have been made in the late 19th century, but the quilt was assembled after that. Most likely in the early part of the 20th century. The backing and white squares appear to be perhaps 1930s. All of the stitching is done by hand. T are a few brown spots and two small holes (see photos). This quilt is in overall good condition. It has never been used or laundered and would be a wonderful piece to display. I can pretty much read all but two of the names and will include as many as I can: Mary H. Clark, Mrs. Jane Willets, Jane H. Kriegh, Martha F. McClure, E.S. Bird, Ann Hughes, Hannah Kline, Catherine Ritter, Lovina Hartman, Susan Baddy, Frances Raber, Mary Sharpless, Louise Brobst, Mary Fisher, Mary Hughes, Martha H. McKinney, Mrs. M.P. Scott, Helen Hubbell, Harriet Marple, Jane Bird, Marian Hubbell, Sarah Sharpless, Mrs. M. Hubbell, Ellen Haas, Fanny Stratton, Mary Kreigh, Ann Eliza Hughes, Elwood Elles, Ann Robbins, read more
