Yes, back in the thirties, Lambert Pharmacal Company was in the cigarette business and brought out Listerine Cigarettes. Can you imagine people smoking tobacco treated with Listerine? Well, it's true and is an unopened and sealed pack of them. Pretty rare tobacciana item. But definitely an unusual piece of cigarette history.The whole purpose of these cigarettes was to sooth the throat with the essential oils used in the manufacture of Listerine! They were manufactured by the Christian Peper Tobacco Company of St. Louis, Missouri at factory number 11 for Lambert. Has original two cent Pennsylvania tax stamp on the top of the package.The package is in very good condition for its age. T are some worm holes at the top of the package, but this is to be expected for a sealed pack of cigarettes from the thirties.
