Vintage Fully Serviced Parker Vacumatic Standard (Second Generation) Emerald Pearl with 14 kt Gold Arrow NibPage Item DescriptionManufacturer: Parker. Model: Parker Vacumatic Standard second generation (Speedline filler). Condition: Excellent. History : The Vacumatic range was mainly manufactured by Parker in 1932,3,4 through 1948. This particular model was manufactured between 1939 (when the Blue Diamond Clip was introduced) and 1942 (when the filling system moved over to the Plastic rod, or third generation filler was intoduced). Nib: Two tone nib 14 KT Gold. Not marked but I would estimate as a FINE. Nib Markings: PARKER USA with Arrow engraved on nib. Barrel Color: Beautiful Emerald Pearl stripes making the barrel semi transparent with matching Button which unscrews to allow access to the Aluminum Speedline filler. Barrel Markings: Geo. S Parker, PARKER VACUMATIC, MADE IN USA. Cap Color: Emerald Pearl with Amber visualated stripes Gold plated Blue Diamond ( Lifetime Guaratee) Clip and single wide Chevron cap bands with Black jewel. Cap Threads: Work easily and smoothly. Jewels: One, Black on cap. Capped Measurement: 5 1/8". Posted Measurement: 6 ". Filling System: This is a Vacumatic filling pen and it fills easily. Any Issues: The Speedline button is a little stiff to unscrew but it works very well and the threads are just fine other than that nothing to the very best of my knowledge and observation. Service/Restoration Details: The pen has been completely overhauled. The nib and section flushed and cleaned, the breather tube cleaned out, the ink bladder replaced, the barrel cleaned on the inside, the speedline lubricated and finally polished and teste d for functionality. Other Comments: This pen is exquisite. The coloration is simply gorgeous. Based on my servicing the pen and stripping it down I would say it has seen very little use. I should keep this for my own collection but I think I already have enough pens!!! A beautiful example of a quite rare pen. Collector quality for sure but would also make a wonderful daily user. Please Condition Guidelines: I do go to great lengths to be as accurate as I can be with regards to what exactly you are bidding on. There are so many interpretations out there that people use to judge conditions of everything. I have detailed below how I personally judge the condition of the the pens I sell. Please note I always list in my ANY ISSUES section any observations I have about the condition of all my items. Mint: New and unused will nearly always be in the original box and will be good enough to be what I would call collectors condition. Near Mint: New like in appearence, will have been inked and maybe used but has been cared for with the utmost care has little to no marking whatsoever. Excellent: Will have some signs of usage but is FULLY FUNCTIONAL and will load ink via whatever method it uses and write. It retains all the original parts with the possible exception of a new ink sac, it will have no dents, no gouges and no cracks. It will probably have minor scratching due to usage. Very Good: The pen will have been well used and shows general wear overall caused by normal use with small scratching and perhaps some brassing. It will be FULLY FUNCTIONAL and will load ink via whatever method it uses and write. It will have no dents, gouges or major imperfections. Good: A pen that has been well used. There will be some wear and tear however it will be FULLY FUNCTIONAL and will load ink via whatever method it uses and write.
