Offered for your bidding consideration is is what I believe to be a vintage, all original Alta Moda (high fashion) doll dress, made in Italy by Furga to fit their S series 17" fashion dolls--Susanna, Sylvie, Sheila, and Simona, added in 1967. Sylvie has agreed to model the dress, but she is not included This cute dress was found in a trunk with the Sylvie doll, along with numerous fashions and accessories that I was able to identify in the 1966 and '67 Alta Moda catalogs that were also found in the trunk. However, this is the one piece of clothing that I did not find in the booklets, so I cannot be 100% sure that it is a factory original piece. Perhaps it is from the 1968 brochure. I'm hoping that the Alta Moda experts will be able to identify the dress. It is a one piece sleeveless dress in bright orange and white cotton. Playful dots and stripes on a two tiered, ruffled skirt along with a little bow at the neckline give the dress a fun, young look. The bodice is lined in the same white fabric that some of the other Furga pieces with lined bodices had. Most of the Alta Moda fashions had a solid silver snap closure (or sometimes buttons), but I did find this type of snap used on two of the velvet coats that I have listed already (please see seller's other items).
