On his turn each player rolls two dice (or one depending on the different versions) that show the number of boxes that must move. Win the game the first player to reach the box 63, "the garden of the goose."The first commercial versions of the game appeared in the 1880s and were decorated with motifs alluding to the time, such as children's clothing at the time. It is assumed that the first version of the game was a board game donated by Francesco I de 'Medici of Florence to Philip II of Spain between 1574 and 1587. In June 1597 the London John Wolfe gave written evidence of the existence of the game.
