Vintage game used George "Georgie" Case baseball bat. "Georgie Case" burnt in cursive on the barrel head. "TRADE MARK REG." burnt under label. Bat is 35" long. Good condition, 4 small nails in the bat as a repair for a very minor handle crack. Bat is strong and can be swung. A piece of the knob is missing (see photo). Knob face has a lathe hole and no other markings. There appears to be a leaded plug in the barrel head of the bat. "Knarling" knife carving made into the handle. Bat has pine tar, ball, and spike marks. Great color, all markings are burnt in deep. George Case played from 1937-1947 for the Washington Senators and was the premier base stealer of his time before stealing bases was popular. He was the American League leader in stolen bases 6 times and a 3 time All Star.
