Vintage Garrett Virginia Dare Wine Bottle 2/5 Pint Rare Description This Vintage Virginia Dare Bottle is a quite unusual estate sale find! What I find unique is that it contains 2/5 of a pint (embossed on front of bottle near bottom) and it still retains the original cap that reads Garrett & Company Since 1835 Makers of Virginia Dare and Other Fine Wines The labels are also intact and read Top label Excellence Assured serve cold Main label GARRETT” S Virginia Dare American Wine The embossed back of the bottle has the Eagle/Shield & Garrett’s Below that it reads GARRETT & Co. Inc Established 1835 VIRGINIA DARE Reg US Pat Off Wine Refilling Prohibited New York The size of the bottle is 8 ¾€ tall and 2” across the base The picture on the label is quite beautiful (I have included some history of Virginia Dare Co after this AD The condition of this bottle is very good and it still has the wine in the bottle (I have not opened it and don’t know if it has ever been opened). The only other flaws that I find are that part of the upper paper label “the letters red in the word assured” are torn off and the top portion of the “G” Logo on top label is missing. The roots of Garrett date back to 1835 when Sydney Weller established Medoc Vineyard in Halifax County , North Carolina , the state's first commercial winery read more
