This is pair of high quality handmade cowboy crafted by Clarence Garrison of Abilene, TX. Clarence is the son of well known Texas & Hollywood bootmaker, Charlie Garrison who made boots for Roy Rogers, Rex Allen, Clark Gable and many other celebrities. The vamps are black calf with square box toes and a fancy stitched toe box and wrinkle stitches. The 14" tops are a stiffer leather with 4 rows of red stitching, a red collar and teardrop shaped pull holes. The collar is more of a bright vermillion red than what the photo shows. I believe the size to be a 9D or 9-1/2C but please check the measurements. The length is 11-1/2" front to back when placed against a wall. The widest part of the sole is 4-1/4" and the heel height is 2-1/4" tall at the back. These have never been resoled. Soles are original. The circumference of the tops measured on the outside at the scallop is 15-1/2". These were my dress (church, funeral, wedding, etc) boots for a while until I outgrew them and didn't have the heart to get rid of them. I believe they were made in 1984 or 1985. Thanks for looking and please check out my other cowboy items. <
