This lot is part of a large collection of trains from the estate of a collector/operator. The following was removed from a storage drawer. Each item will be EXTERNALLY examined, and any obvious condition-issues, I see, will be noted. Please study the photos carefully and read the description to judge the condition for yourself before bidding. The actual item (s) you will receive is (are) photographed. The colors in the photo may differ slightly from the item due to camera and/or monitor settings. Additional photos upon request . At auction is an American Flyer operating brakeman caboose #977. As the accompanying photos reveal the caboose is in very decent condition with no broken or missing parts. The rubber brakeman is original, both couplers work fine, and the caboose is illuminated. When the train is running the caboose’s light is on and the brakeman remains standing on the rear platform. When the power is turned off and the train stops, the light goes off and the brakeman moves out beyond the side of the car as if to see why the train has stopped. This is a neat action car that always seems to please and amuse onlookers.
