You are bidding on a vintage General Electric appliance sign still is it's original shipping crate. The sign was shipped from KOLUX corporation of Kokoma, Indiana and is located in the basement of a building that was once a general store. It was shipped brand new to the store in the early 50's and never installed. This is a double sided exterior sign that hasn't seen the light of day for over 50 years. The sign unit measures 56" wide X 42" high X 10 1/2" deep at the base and 14 1/2" deep at the neon portion. The mounting bracket features a 78 1/2" rod with a spear head on one end with 2 straps that are attached to the sign. The round neon GE top of the sign is 30" in diameter. The non-neon bottom APPLIANCE sign portion is 56" wide X 22" high. The round GE neon sign is recessed approximately 10" down into the top of the APPLIANCE sign. It is all one solid unit. All metal portions of the sign appear to be baked enamel. T is one broken neon tube on one side of the sign. The electrical wires appear as if they were connected to a power source at one time, probably to test it out. Aside from an accumulation of dust, having been in an open crate in a basement for 50+ years, the sign appears to be in very good condition. This sign is being sold as is, w is. Pick up only.
