Vintage GEC GPO.G49/9 Electrical Test Meter (Linesman). Telephone/Post Office. I've no what this meter is called or what it is for, but being made by the General Electric Company for the G.P.O ( now BT ) I presume it would have been used to test telephone lines and circuits, etc. No idea if it works and wouldn't have a clue as to how to go about testing it, but it looks sound. Whilst I'm presuming things I'd guess the G49/9 number is for 1949. The lesther case is a bit sad and missing the top/lid. If no image/s appear here or if the image does not seem to match description of item I would be grateful for an e-mail to let me know. Thanks.
