Vintage Electric Fan 1940s or 1950s GEC Rubber Blades Machine Age Streamline Deco Offered for Sale is a Machine Age General Electric (GE) Streamline Fan with a Rubber Blade in very good condition. It is fully working and incredibly quiet (due to the rubber blade and no need for a cage around it). This desktop 8 inch tall model (the “Kingsway 8””) dates from the late 1940s or early 1950s and is robust in cast metal. It is clean and the rubber blades are in extremely good condition (you never see old rubber bladed fans with blades undamaged by sunshine etc. but these are extremely good). Postage insured and well wrapped within UK £6, rest of world £10 to £20. All photos are an important part of the description so please review these carefully. There’s a film on YouTube of this fan (the 8” version) in action. It is a thing of beauty and quite futuristic for its time (or any time). It reminds me of the engine of a WW2 airplane. See /watch?v=IQdGKFnZY8A ! I also have a 1940’s American streamline desk stapler that would go well with this item in a home office. Please see my other auctions.
