This auction is for a very vintage 100% genuine Ivory hinged bracelet. This bracelet is elephant's tusk. It is not new and I do not promote the killing of elephant's for their tusk. This bracelet has been with me for the last 20+ years. It has aged and the silver parts that hinge it together need cleaning, but I will leave that to the new owner in case some of you like that aged look. I tried to take a photo of the 'grain' appearence in the ivory but could not get a clear enough photo to display it. The closure is a silver pin that slides into a tube and holds. The closure works well and is in no need of repair. I aquired this piece at an estate sale years ago from a couple who used to live in Africa. It was so wonderful that I had to have it, and since ivory is rare nowdays it will be a great find to put in your collection to keep and pass on to someone you love! I have boys and they do not and will never care for my pieces like I know someone out t will. I will rest easier knowing someone will take care of it. The approx. measurement of this piece is 2 1/2 inches from silver hinge to silver hinge and approx. 3 inches from ivory to ivory. This bracelet is not round but sorta oblong (see photos).
