This item is totally unique and made of highly collectible genuine ivory that has been 3 dimensionally hand carved into the shape of a horse's hoof then shod with a brass shoe, complete with nails and a toe grab! Just goes to show you, with this kind of detail, what the quality of this item is! This vintage piece has brass findings and a genuine leather strap. The leather strap fob is age worn and very fragile, but could easily be re-created to bring this piece back to life! The clip and the findings of this item are made of brass and stamped 'MADE IN ITALY'. This is an equestrian, "pre-ivory ban" created hand carved vintage piece that has character, made with the quality of Italian craftsmanship. It measures approximately 4 ¼" L. The ivory hoof measures 1 3/8" L x 5/8" W x 5/8" D. If you love vintage equestrian treasures....this is one for sure! Good Luck!!!
