Superb Vintage Danish Gilded Sterling Silver & Guilloche Enamel Tea Spoon by Georg Jensen cir 1950's This Tea Spoon measures approximately 3 3/4 inches or 96 mm in length by just under 3/8 of an inch or 8 mm across the widest part of its handle and it is 7/8 of an inch or 22 mm across the widest part of the bowl. The tea spoon is made from sterling silver that has been completely gilded or gold plated and it has been wonderfully decorated with a green guilloche enamel handle, the spoon has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram and the back of the spoons bowl has been impressed with the Copenhagen silversmith or makers mark of GEORG JENSEN along with the words Sterling for 925 standard sterling silver over Denmark all as photographed below, I estimated that this tea spoon was made circa 1950's . The condition is used and Mint for its age. The Enamel Decoration is in Mint Condition with No Chips, No Cracks and No Surface Scratches. The Spoon has No Dents, No Splits, No Cracks, Holes and No Repairs that I can find, the spoon is straight, the gilding is not worn as it is still a good colour, the danish silver and makers marks are all still clearly legible although as this is a used vintage tea spoon it does have some extremely minor surface wear from use along with the patina of age that is to be expected. Personally I think that this vintage tea spoon can still be used today and that it would make a superb addition to any collection, I also think that it looks absolutely fantastic considering that it's around 50 or so years old.
