Vintage all Oringinal Georgene Averill Cloth BIRTHDAY DOLL - Tagged. This is a really cute circa 1940's cloth doll by Georgene Averill that is about 13 12" tall. She is all original and tagged.Her dress is a sheer windowpane check white cotton with blue flocked dots and includes a onesie and an overskirt trimmed with pink silk ribbon and val cotton lace. She has blue painted eyes, a red mohair type yarn hair with a pink silk bow and is carrying a bundle of white,pink and blue yarn balloons in her right hand. Her shoes are ecru oilcloth with silver buckles and her socks are white rayon knit with a pink stripe at the top. The tag on her left wrist has a birthday cake on the front with a to and from space, the inside reads Happy Birthday to You with little drawings and the back has Georgene Dolls in a logo design and a pencil notation of 9/19/'41. This doll is in very good condition with very bright face paint and minimal soiling. The only real flaws are a mark on her onesie(looks like an old stand mark) that is covered by her overskirt,a tiny spot on her hairbow, a dark mark on her left shoe, and a dark line on her right sock(see pictures).
