Oil Painting by G.R. Pobanz Signed and dated Mar. 6, 1944 Lovely oil painting of three shades of Geraniums, pink, red and white. Beautiful detail to the flowers and leaves. This is a very classy painting, it was done very well, the artist did an excellent job. This painting was done on board, not canvas. It is dated 67 years ago to this week. Could the artist have ever emagined how it could be displayed in this way? Pretty amazing. The painting is 11 3/4 inches by 9 3/4 inches. The frame is 15 by 12 3/4 inches. The frame is older than the date on the painting, and is walnut. From the reseach I did on line, some people call it a Black Forest carved walnut frame, but regardless, the frame is circa 1880 - 1890, perhaps older. Please note in one of the pictures a small blemish in the frame. This painting will be packed well with plenty of bubble wrap. Thank-you for looking!
