GORGEOUS EVA ZEISEL SCHRAMBERG MAJOLICA FACTORY LIDDED, HANDLED JAR! Lovely handled jar designed by Eva Zeisel while she worked at the Schramberg Majolika Fabrik between 1928 and 1930. It is part of her Gobelin line which was known for it's bright colors and bold design. Marked on the base bottom as the Gobelin 4, it additionally carries the number of 57 as well as an imcised or impressed number of 2627 over 3. Additionally the SMF Germany Wheelock Black Forest Hand Painted Pottery logo is in place with minor wear. Beautiful example with a great Art Deco flare which would also be quite suitable in the Retro decor. Fine condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Measures in at about 5" tall.
