You are looking at a Vintage German Automaton Singing Bird in a Brass Ornate Bird Cage. The red Bird still sings sweetly and turns his head as he sings. This is achieved by turning a key on the bottom. The age is unknown, but t have been other Ken-D cages dated to around the 1940's. This one has been in the same family iy's whole life( By the way they are descendents og the famous Poet Joyce Kilmer).

The cage is in excellent condition, a little tarnished. T is one small ding on the bottom w the on/off switch is. The pause function on the bottom seems not to be working (I may be doing something wrong) The on/off work fine.

The bottom of the cage reads Germany & Ken-D In a diamond. T is also a circular stamp of a bird & reads K G. A bit of the bottom seal is coming loose but is hard to notice.

The bird is perched on a brass cross bar stand with green foliage all around w/ a mushroom at the bottom of the stand.

The whole thing is in very good condition and would be a great asset to collectors of Ken-D or any Singing Bird Cages. T is beautiful ornamentation around the entire base.
