Vintage German Beer Stein Lidded Collectable nice!! Very detailed almost more Roman characters, the list of names around the top, could be Military. It is 10" tall 4 1/2" wide at the base and heigth to top of handle is 9". The bottom has no markings. This is either Silver or pewter, the inside is very shiny. Now I will try to let you know what the writing is on this stein, forgive me if miss translated. (and if anyone can tell me what it says please do so) On top of the lid it reads "Therm Knoll yum fleifsigen Benutzueg" Around the top of mug it reads (top line) "Baumer, Diehmil, Ehrenhard, Frank,Keller, Keining, Keifsling, Lieb, Lorenz, (second Line) Mangold, Meior, Perger, Thweizer, WagenKnecht, (third line) Pukel The top is dented please see pictures (#3). Needs good polishing/cleaning.
