This is corkscrew with cutter edge has a figural high relief sterling (marked - STERLING) front and back.

The detail is wonderful and in excellent condition!

A partial nude figure holds a glass of wine in a toast to the good life while standing upon a a dramatic post Victorian looking curly design.

The blade is marked Germany and what appears to be Judson Knife Co or Hudson Knife Co.

The corkscrew opens and closes very well and is in good shape.

The "guts" to these corkscrews w often made in German and the tops were added in American - this one has a sterling front that was likely retailed by a company in the states!

Could be the quality of sterling found by KERR or UNGER BROTHERS
