Vintage German Glass Domed Shelf or Mantel Clock with Wood Base We are very pleased to present for your consideration this fascinating timepiece. The clock, with glass dome stands 11 1/4" tall. The solid mahogany base is roughly 8" in diameter and stands about an inch tall. The clock is a mechanical pendulum timepiece. It has a single bell chime on the hour. It is key wind although I don't have the key to ship with it. It works well and keeps accurate time. I don't know the last service date, if any. The most interesting part of this clock is the pierced brass representation of the a cathedral front and back with the clock hands at roughly the same place they would appear on the church itself. Overall, condition is good. I cannot find any noticeable problems with any of the components. The base has a "Made is Germany" sticker but no other markings that I can find.
