This Auction Is For An Impressive Looking German Salt Glazed Figural Beer Stein I know little about this stein so I can only tell you what I can see. What is visible is described below, the rest I will leave it up to the many pictures I have provided to say the rest. As you can see from in the pictures it is A Beautiful Stein and a Great Display Piece. It measures Approx 7.5" Tall and Approx 5 1/2" across including the handle and his big belly. It doesn't have any marks on it that I'm able to see, no liter or makers marks so I can't tell you how old it is or who created it. I am not an expert on the subject even though I've collected steins for years, Steins with marks I can identify, so any help I can get from the Experts on this one would be appreciated. I'll go on with what I CAN see, it is a Grey Stoneware Salt Glazed Stein with Cobalt details, this one is a little more colorful than the normal grey and cobalt Salt glazed steins, the scrolled leaf pattern through the center and the top of his helmet are a forest green color, his hair, the diamond pattern at the base of his helmet, shirt sleeves and the every other spike around the base are a brownish color. Lots of detail, from the scowling eyes, the hands holding his satisfied belly to the different patterns scrolled throughout. If you are interested in this piece please
