In today's auction I have a Vintage GERMAN LEAD CRYSTAL CUT GLASS HANDLE BASKET

This elegant, breathtaking fine piece of crystal was given to me and my husband as a wedding gift 42 years ago from an Aunt and Uncle that lived in Germany. The design is magnificent and can not be described in words that would do it justice. I am hoping that the pictures will show the beauty of the crystal engraving that is done on this basket. When the sun shines through it t is a reflection of dazzling colors on the wall. The basket is hand cut and polished on all surfaces including the scalloped edges. T is a diamond pattern across the handle and a fluted pattern around the outside.

T are no breaks, cracks or major blemishes on this basket. Please remember this a a piece that is 42 years old, so t is bound to be some scratches. The bottom has those scratches, which you can see in the photo's. When the basket is standing upright you will hardly notice the scratches. T are some air bubbles in the glass. Asll the detailing is hand cut and polished. The basket is one piece, t are no seams.

The maker is not known, since I don't have the paper work that came with it and the memory just isn't what it used to be.

Overall this is in excellent condition. You would not be unhappy with it if you bid and won the auction.

The basket is 10" wide, 11" tall and the handle measurers 2 1/2" wide and the entire basket weighs in at approximately 5 pounds.
