This little vintage german clock is by LINDEN and is a windup Wooden Carriage alarm clock. The alarm works well. The clock runs but is about 1 min. to 1 1/2 min. off on the test I am doing. It is Marked with Roman Numerals and also regular numbers. What I find unusual is the face has a copper glow when it is put in light. The wood on this clock can stand a cleaning and a touch up. I see no major defects, normal use I would say. I do not know the exact age, I am working on it and if I find out, I will add it to this description. The metal surrounding the face of the clock is more of a copper look when light hits it. It has a green felt on the base. The clock stands 5 1/2 inches high. The glass is not flat across the face, but has a slight convex bow to it. On the back t are small knobs that sets the alarm hand and the beautiful time hands. T are two winding pieces to wind the clock and to wind the alarm. I have not taken the clock from the case, so I do not know of any marks inside the case. On the back it says: Cuckoo Clock Mfg. Co. Germany. On the front near the bottom, it says: West Germany, and up under the XII it says Linden. What I find unusual also is that my other carriage clocks have a round face. This one has a face that is a vertical../ rectangular design.... Take a look at the pictures, and if you need more information, read more
