This item is a refurbished animated musical vintage German Black Forest Cuckoo Clock with three carved birds and carved leaf design with an all brass Regula mechanism. The clock and all decorations are made of wood (the birds have glass eyes). T are four dancing couples that rotate and twirl to the music. The cuckoo, chime and music (two different tunes from a Swiss made music box) can all be heard on the hour and half hour with the cuckoo and chime striking the proper hour. The music starts afer the cuckoo is finished.The clock has been dismantled, repaired, cleaned and now runs flawlessly with a new set of bellows and linkages for that great cuckoo sound along with a fine chime. The music and dancing couples mechanisms have been cleaned and lubricated and run great. It has been running for several months now without a problem. It is a fairly large clock at 19-1/2" high (with pendulum) x 11-1/2" wide x 6-1/2" deep. T are two repairs on the decorative wood pieces (below the top bird and at the lower left leaf), but they are hard to see and certainly do not detract from the beauty of this clock.As you can see in the photos, the clock is in great condition and would make a gorgeous wall decoration.
