Offered is a vintage German porcelain bell made by the KPM company. The bell measures 5 inches tall by a bit over 4" wide at its bottom. The top of the piece measures almost 3" wide. The bell is in great condition with no chips, cracks, fleabites, discolorations, signs of excessive use or abuse or damages of any kind. The bell's clapper is porcelain as well, and shows no damages either. I see the KPM mark in red on the inside of the piece, as well as an interesting blue mark that looks a bit like a torch. I also see some handpainted numbers--"P1013" (?) is noted...However, this mark is nearly impossible to read...I apologize for any confusion concerning this mark. The bell shows wonderful Art Deco style statues holding torches in relief on its outside. I also see "Berlin--24-10-1950" on the pieces top, and a verse on the bell's bottom that says "That This World Under God Shall Have A New Birth Of Freedom." Obviously, the bell commemorates something or some event, but I have no idea what...Any information concerning the piece is appreciated. No Reserve. Please don't hesitate to E-Mail with any questions. As always, Paypal, money orders and personal checks are acceptable methods of payment for this and for all my other E-Bay items. Thanks and Good Luck. International bidders are welcome to bid on this and on all my other E-Bay items. read more
