Vintage German Romance Cuckoo Clock Swiss Musical Search Hi offering for sale a vintage Black Forest cuckoo clock. Let me preface this description by saying I am not a clock expert but will do my best to accurately represent this item. T is a black and red sticker on the back that says "Romance Der Froliche Wanderer Edelwiss R. Rogers 22LS 2708 Swiss Musical Movement". I assume that Romance is maker, Der Froliche Wanderer is the song it plays?, then maker and model. On the left hand side (when facing clock) is an on/off metal lever that says "Rack Strike Device". Back comes off to reveal inner workings as can be seen in picture. Two pinecone weight, of slightly different size, and one pendulum come with the clock. As I recall, I had my clockmaker friend go through the clock and he said it was in running condition. I have not independently verified this, so it will be sold as-is, but I am quite certain it runs well. The wood chopper chops, the waterwheel turns, the dancers dance and the cuckoo pops out, what a clock! Original condition. Buyer will be very happy with this great item.
