Re-listed due to non-paying bidder:A vintage WW2 German Army or Waffen SS Panzer Tank Jacket. Many tank crews outfitted themselves with leather jackets, same as the pilots did. I have had about 7 different WW 2 German Leather jackets over the years. Some were short, and some were long. All have the same features in that they have the big collars and pockets stashed inside, some had dagger hangers too. This one is a typical tankers jacket. It has a short zipper, see close-up pic, several of my jackets had the same zipper. Excessive wear on the elbows. And a dark green interior, Waffen and Army Panzer units used this color. All the air force jackest used blue, and Navy grey. Check out some pics of crews in and around armor - you will see them wearing simular jackets, and maybe even this one. The Germans did know how to dress well. This jacket is in about 70% condition, Some repairs done by a leather profesional a few years back, and a fair amount of wear. It still looks great - and would look a whole lot better with some leather dressing on it. It is a size between 40 and 42, but tight in the middle or maybe I am just thick in the middle?? 19" from sholder seam to sholder seam, arms are 24" long.
