THIS IS A GERZ GERMAN LIDDED BEER STEIN. IT IS A 5 LITER STEIN. I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY HAVE A 5 LITER STEIN LISTED WITH .5 1.5 ETC. I HAVE SEEN 2 OTHER 5 LITER STEINS ON EBAY IN THE PAST. IF YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH SOME EVEN THREE LITERS CAN BE AS HIGH PRICED UP TO 1000.00 DOLLARS. THIS IS A GREAT PRICE FOR AN ITEM SUCH AS THIS. THEY AREN'T EVEN SOLD ANYMORE SO IS A CHANCE TO BUY ONE. I AM RELISTING THIS ITEM BECAUSE OF BUYERS INTEREST, IT IS RARE AND VERY UNIQUE. I PURCHASED IT AT AN ESTATE SALE THAT HAD ITEMS FOR SALE FROM 3 DIFFERENT GENERATIONS AND THEY TOLD ME THIS STEIN IS VERY, VERY OLD. IT WEIGHS ALMOST 15 LBS. IT IS VERY HEAVY. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND T ARE NO OTHER 5 LITER STEINS ON EBAY AT THIS TIME. THEY ARE HARD TO COME BY. IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE LAST TIME I WILL HAVE THIS ON EBAY SO, IF YOU DO NOT BUY IT NOW YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE.

IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. NO CRACKS OR CHIPS AND VERY CLEAN INSIDE. You may want to do a little research like I did before I listed it. It happens to be the only 5 liter lidded german beer stein on ebay. Under Google i found 1 other 5 liter and it was grey stoneware no lid and it was 12 1/2 in. tall. IT IS 23 1/2 INCHES TALL. IT HAS RAISED CHARACTERS ON IT THEY ARE NOT JUST PAINTED ON. THIS STEIN IS VERY COLORFUL. THE PORTRAIT ON THE STEIN IS OF A GROUP OF MEN AND WOMEN DRINKING BEER.

ON THE STEIN ITSELF ON THE BACK OF THE HANDLE ON THE TREE IS INCISED #3665.

ON THE INSIDE OF THE LID IS #08-GM109 AND A DIAMOND.

ON THE BOTTOM OF THE STEIN IT HAS HANDGEMELT 1 IN GOLD AND 5L

IT ALSO HAS GERZ GERMANY IT HAS A SMEAR THROUGH IT AND I CAN NOT MAKE OUT THE ENTIRE WORD IT HAS F AND ENDS WITH THE LETTER N.

ON THE HANDLE IT HAS ALOT OF NUMBERS I AM SORRY CAN NOT MAKE THEM OUT.
