Hello! Here for auction is a vintage Gibson ES-335 in Walnut finish. The serial number on the back of the headstock is 890819 which seems to put it as a 1971-1973 model. Gibson #'s are pretty hard to research so if anyone out there knows the exact date of this let us know and we'll post it for everyone to see. This is an awesome example of a Gibson and this vintage puppy screams with tone. It's a players guitar as it is actually played, not some closet queen or museum piece. Look at all of the pictures carefully before you bid. As you can see there were never any breaks or repairs. The only non-original parts on this guitar are the truss-rod cover, the tuners-which were changed to Grovers, added strap-lock buttons, and the added Bigsby. The case is an original Gibson case with the "Gibson" badge on it with yellow inside. It's in decent shape and does the job just fine. There is a "T" painted on the top though and it has it's share of scuffs/wear from ther years. The guitar had a re-fret done a few years back at MOZE GUITARS in La Mesa, CA. They informed me the truss-rod cover is probably off an old Guild or something, and that the new replacements don't fit right and that you would need to find an original if you wanted to switch it back. The Bigbsy also looks older than the guitar but works great if you like Bigsbys (like me). You read more
