Vintage Gilbert Home Kids Chemistry Set #16 Metal Case Great vintage chemistry set by A.C. Gilbert features a tri-fold blue metal case that opens to show many original beakers and bottles. The set is marked No. 16 and includes two of the original books marked "How To Use The Gilbert Microscope" and "Gilbert Glass Blowing". Includes 24 original bottles , many still filled with the original powders and liquids. Also has seven (7) test tubes, a candle, two glass sticks for glass blowing, boxes with labels, cover glasses, and fish scales, litmus test papers, a spoon, copper wire, and many other small parts. Metal case stands 13 1/2" tall, and opens to 28 1/2" in width. Vintage label on exterior of case reads "Gilbert Chemistry Outfit" and shows a young man hard at work with his set. Does not include original microscope. Item is in excellent condition considering age. Exterior of case nice with and just light oxidation and scratching in some areas. All bottles read more
