This is a Ginny Doll from my own collection from my childhood. She was never played with, always displayed in a cabinet. My dolls were packed away after I was married and she has spent many years stored in a box with the rest of my dolls. Ginny is listed on page 162 of the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls, 2nd edition" by Izen and Stover. She is wearing a black knit body suit with a yellow felt skirt trimmed with black cord and two rhinestone on belt for decoration. She has a matching yellow hat tied with same black cord. Completing her outfit are white suede cloth skates. Her hair is tied at the back of her neck with a yellow ribbon. Ginny is a bent knee walker and the walker and head work fine. She has dark eyes with molded lashes. Her eyes are stuck in the open position and I did not try to force them to close. Eyebrows show no sign of yellowing.
