One of the very first Girl Guide Proficiency badges, issued around 1918-1920, embroidered in navy on a white background. The badge is intact - although not pure white any more due to its age! In latter years, it was sewn onto a Camp Fire blanket and there is a tiny bit of navy material actually stuck onto the centre of the back of the badge - obviously put there for security in addition to the stitching around the edges - and it would not be possible to remove this without damaging the badge itself. It is not noticeable at all from the front or even to the feel of it. Not pristine - but a real collector's item!! Paypal checkout to be completed within 7 days please.
