This wonderful old lidded apothecary/drug store/candy jar reminds me of the corner drugstore that I used to frequent where my siblings and I would buy penny candy if we were good boys and girls! The jar and cover are heavy paneled glass with no cracks or chips. The jar measures approximately 11-1/2" in height x 4-1/2" at the base. It is a real beauty and still has lots of utilitarian uses - especially for some CANDY ! We also have another lidded apothecary jar listed that is slightly smaller than this.
