You are bidding on a pair of 4" diameter (approximate 10.5" circumference) genuine antique glass Japanese fishing floats, one of green glass and one of blue glass. The green float appears to have been made in 2 sections which were fused together. T is a seam that runs all the way around the center of the green float dividing it into 2 hemisps. The glass on the green float also has a many faceted or "hammertone" type finish that is not apparent in the photos. The green float has markings on one side in 2 different places near the "button" that look like the number 11 or 2 parallel straight lines. The blue float has a stamping in the glass of the "button" that appear to be the letters D.G inside a rectangular box. The blue float also has a curved line in the glass that runs from the "button" to about 1/3 of the way around the float. This line is not apparent in the photos. It is a curved line that looks like a crack, but it is really some kind of a defect in the glass. It is probably a scratch that happened when the float was made and the glass was still pliable I did several submersion tests to verify that it is definitely not a crack. We are offering these 2 unique floats as a pair.
