Gorgeous vintage glass oil lamp with a sun purple tint. This oil lamp is done with a rounded oil holder. It sits on a pretty footed pedestal. The glass for this lamp has a slight purple tint from sitting in the sun. There are also bubbles in the glass, and a couple of the bubbles have popped on the bottom. There are also a couple of places where you can see sand grains from cooling the glass, and from the mold. The lamp has a saw edge topped chimney. The lamp is marked on the turn P & A Mfg. Co. Waterbury Conn. Made In USA. The Wick holder is marked Banner. The lamp measures approximately 15 1/2" in height including the chimney, and 3 3/4" in diameter at the base. There is one small chip in the pedestal foot on the bottom at the first ring level. The lamp needs some clean up, but is in otherwise excellent condition. This would make a wonderful addition to your oil lamp collection. You could use it to decorate any style home, and these look great with colored water, or colored oil. Be sure to check my other listings for more great oil lamps from this estate.
