On the auction block is a wonderful vintage store display, probably from a department store in the 1950s, for Fownes gloves. It is in the shape of a tree and is made of sturdy metal. The trunk and leaves support six glove stretchers which are the branches. Also included are three pair of unusual purple gloves, sequined and studded. But gloves are not original to the display, but have been matched up as long as I've had them. I suspect the round base is not original to this display, because when gloves are added, the display tends to get a bit top-heavy with a little sway. A larger base could perhaps be found, but the display is very presentable as is, especially with the unusual gloves. I see only a few chips to the white paint. Glove stretcher wires are unbent and in great shape. Display measures 35 inches high, and 17 inches wide. Shipping is determined by buyer location via USPS Priority Mail or USPS Parcel Post. Shipping weight for this item is 4 pounds. (Sometimes ebay displays a shipping amount at the top which is incorrect, so please disregard it and go by the weight.) Payment by PayPal verified only.
