Patented forked splice driver from Alex H. Scott. This is the very scarce driver introduced by Scott in 1894. The unique forked splice made it in Scott's words a 'never break' shaft. The crown is stamped:A. H. SCOTTPATENTNo. 21444The shaft is stamped:A. H. SCOTTMAKEREARLSFERRYThe shaft is sound with a slight bow. There is a small piece missing just under the lead weight at the back of the head, about 1" long by 1/4" wide (see photo). The face and rest of the club are nearly pristine. The built up rough leather grip may not be original. You will like this very beautiful club. It has been well cared for over the last several years. Shipping within USA only.
