~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ This textile is an beautiful Antique / Vintage hand-woven linen / hemp grain sack from Europe! ~*~ Spectacular!!! this wonderful textile is the most beautiful sacks! This sack appears to be woven using both linen and cotton ~*~ The tone of the linen is a pale cream tone and the stripe pattern is beautiful! Lovely tone of French medium blue. ! ~*~ this sack has a dense weave, not slubby and nubby like most, more of a flat weave and every so slightly lighter in weight than most also! Still, heavy weight, but not as heavy as most! ~*~ Beautiful hand woven ties!!! ~ ~ ~ As with the vast majority of these wonderful textiles, this sack has a beautiful hand stitched sides and hand stitched hem around the opening at the top! ~ ~ ~*~ I love knowing that these textiles were produced without the use of pesticides, just wonderful natural fabric. Very easily maintained by machine washing. Please see easy washing instructions below! ( sack 4) This lovely sack measures approx. 47 inches by 19 inches. ( of course it is twice the lenght as it has 2 sides , front and back ! ~ ) CONDITION: This Vintage hand-woven European grain sack is in as found, unwashed condition with very light storage dirt that will all wash beautifully. There is a small dirt mark on one side that can be stain treated first, before washing. This should all wash beautifully !!! Because of the cotton content, This sack should be washed on cold and linen dried These wonderful sacks make perfect upholstery fabric, bench cushion, outdoor furniture covers, bolster pillow for beds ( simply insert king sized pillow) , sofa pillows, floor pillow, ( simply fill with feather comforter or body pillow insert and add velcro or zip to the end!) laundry bag, table runner, bath mat ( hemp is naturally mold and mildew resistant) , Beach bag, roman shade, hand towels, you name it! They are also perfect for upholstery projects as the fabric is wonderful and very very durable! ~ These textiles are machine washable, tumble dry! I like to add fabric softener to the final rinse for added softness! Simply machine wash warm, tumble dry! ~*~ ~*~These textiles are, by nature, extremely Eco-friendly! The average age of these textiles is 100 years and they were naturally home grown, home retted ( in local lakes and ponds) and woven by hand. These textiles are being re-cycled today and showing off the extreme craftsmanship of past generations! Yet another feature that makes these textiles extremely eco-friendly is their durability. These textiles were designed to endure generations of constant use~ and will have an extremely long life.
